Y&R Thoughts

Last week was pretty good. Nick is alive. Logan, the doctor, is just weird. I get a bad feeling from her. She's a little too Kathy Bates for my liking. I really doubt that she can't leave Nick long enough to go get help. I don't think she wants to leave him. I wonder if she will hobble him if he keeps trying to leave? Maybe she is knocking him out with those plants she keeps feeding him. Today's Canadian show had Nick mention his family. He never calls them by name, he just keeps saying he needs to get back to his family. When Logan asked him about kids, he said he had a son and a daughter. Here's what I am thinking. Nick has partial amnesia. He doesn't remember anything about Cassie dying or his affair/marriage to Phyllis or anything about Summer. When he said he had a son and daughter he meant Noah and Cassie. I am not sure if that's how it will play out though, because they might make him fall for the doctor.

Daniel is his mother's son for sure. Instead of owning up to what happened with his bank account, he keeps lying to Lily. I predict they will get back together and a few months from now, Lily will learn the truth and leave his lying ass for good. I still don't get the Amber/Daniel connection. What does she offer him? If he was sleeping with her I could understand why he he follows her so blindly, but he isn't getting any from her. But still, he does whatever she asks. It makes no sense. Poor Kevin is dragged into this mess too. I am glad PlumGarrett is gone, he was annoying. I still want to know more about Cane's evil side and find out what he is up to.

Gloria is one delusional woman. William will turn her in the second he is able to. He shouldn't even be the DA with the bias he shows. *cough* JT *cough* I still don't get why that ass wasn't charged with assault when he hit Kevin. Lots of people have excuses as to why they assault someone, that doesn't mean they get away with it.

JT and Victoria make me sick. I hate them together and I resent every minute given to them on the show. They are great for my diet since I immediately feel ill when I see them on screen. And to be completely shallow, can't that girl get those teeth fixed? It is so distracting and she is always smiling so big with all those gappy teeth showing. I always thought people that had bad teeth tried to hide them. This girl is proud of the fact that you could drive a truck through her front teeth.

I love the interaction between Sharon/Phyllis/Jack. Sharon and Phyllis need to team up more often. They are deliciously evil together. But I still want Sharon with Nick.

When is this dumb election going to be over anyway? It's boring me. Right now I am predicting that Jack will win. I make this next statement, and please keep in mind I am a woman. People tend to forgive a man's indescrstions before they will forgive a woman's. The voters will see Jack as the lesser of two evils and vote him in. Thoughts?

Days Thoughts

Forgive me if I have missed stuff, I haven't seen all the episodes of Days the past few weeks.

Stefano is back!! I am so excited about this. I can't wait for him to up and around and causing trouble. The Bradys have had it easy while he was gone. Now he's back - look out Salem!

I like the Sami/EJ dynamic, but I LOVE Lumi so I hope that Sami and EJ don't end up together. I think Sami and Lucas have such an amazing chemistry together. Lumi fans have waited so long for them to finally be together and happy, it just isn't fair to tear them apart now. I am interested in the origins of the DiMera/Brady vendetta.

Shawn/Belle/Phillip/Claire: Enough already!! I am so sick of these people. They finally find Claire and instead of calling the Salem PD Belle calls that mom and gets her to come back? Phillip is the only one with any sense (scary!) he called the cops. This whole thing has just dragged on for much too long. And I HATE how they wrapped up the Willow storyline. I am so happy that they killed her off, but they could have done it in a better way. And of course Shawn finds out he actually wasn't the baby's father. If that DNA lab was in the real world it would have been shut down a long time ago. Anyone can fake a DNA test in Salem. Gloria on Y&R should have insisted that lab do her DNA test, she wouldn't have had to switch samples herself.

Nick/Chelsea/teens teens teens: Ugh! Could Nick and Chelsea go back and forth any more than they have? Nick is just not written well. The actor isn't exactly great either, and with bad material to begin with, it's worse. I am bored with them. Either get together or break up, but make a decision already. The rest of the teens bore me and I just tune them out.

Lexie is back. Apparently she was in a tunnel for the past few months. Okay then. Why was she wailing like that? Where is the voice changer she must have been using to sound like she did before Bo went down there after her? If she was that hysterical she wouldn't have been able to recognize Hope so quickly. Did EJ put her down there?

I refuse to comment on John Black.

One last thing. If Nick had been the father of Willow's baby, she would have given birth to a huge pair of lips.

Y&R Thoughts - One Dead Plum

Here we go!

Amber, Amber, Amber...someone so obsessed with fashion has to have heard of waterproof mascara. What a mess this girl looked like. I also wonder who told these actresses that screaming was a great way to get your point across. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) does the same thing. She talks louder when she is annoyed with someone. I can't say I am happy that Amber is going to be involved in this major whodunit storyline this summer. She is annoying beyond belief. It looks like Cane may find out that she faked their wedding which would be good. But of course I would assume that he will just forgive her. Anyway, Plum/Garrett is dead and the list of suspects so far are:

-this mysterious person from LA who I am guessing he stole that money from. Not likely because if this guy could track him down in Genoa City, he would have been able to find that big old bag of money in the room. I mean if Daniel could find it, anyone could.

-Kevin, who will probably be accused because of his past. I don't think he did it.

-Daniel. He may have seen the big old bag of money and wanted it for himself. He has been having money problems. Personally I think he is too wimpy to do something like this. Of course if Amber asked him to do it, he would have, because he seems to do just about everything that she asks. OR he could have opened the bedroom door and knocked PlumGarrett off the chair by accident. He is Phyllis' son so his first instinct would be to cover it up instead of calling the police.

-Amber. He has dirt on her. He isn't really her cousin, he is her ex-boyfriend. I WISH it was her, but she is the most obvious suspect so it isn't her. Too bad, I was hoping they'd just write her off the show.

-Cane. We saw one scene that seemed to indicate he is really a bad guy. He makes a comment here and there that makes it seem like he has a dark side. He could have went to see PlumGarrett to find out why he is really in GC. If he told him about Amber (or refused to say anything) he could have killed him.

-Cane's partner (his uncle?) Cane made that sinister phone call to someone, maybe that person is in town. Who knows why he would have done it. I'm sure the writers would come up wth something.

-Someone we haven't heard about yet.

My money is on Cane or someone we haven't heard about yet. We'll see!

Y&R Thoughts

I decided I will do my "thoughts" blog post on Fridays each week. This one covers more than just this week though.

This may contain spoilers, so be warned.

Why did William all of a sudden become suspicious of Gloria? The viewers know what she is up to, but it's making an awfully big leap for William to think that she mixed up the DNA tests. I could see him putting the pieces together later if he found out what she did, but it makes no sense for him to be suspicious right now. He loves her, he wouldn't be thinking that way.

Amber is going to look awful when the truth comes out. She has been lying to everyone. Of course she looked awful the other day on Extreme Catwalk. All that make-up and that awful hairstyle. Sometimes I do love her clothes but she should lay off the dark eyeshadow and bright red lipstick for a while.

I am loving that Lily finally kicked Daniel out. He isn't going to change. She doesn't deserve to be treated that way. He really thinks he didn't do anything wrong. Personally I wouldn't care if my husband looked at porn (if he saw something good he could show me!) but joining that swingers site was just too much. Then lying and lying about it. Terrible! I love the Winters family though. They all rock and I wish they had more airtime.

Phyllis is moving in on Jack. Nick has only been gone for about 2 weeks in Y&R time. She isn't exactly the grieving widow is she? She and Nick were portrayed as being madly in love, it makes no sense to have her starting to try and weasel her way back into Jack's life (and his house). And Jack is an ass for letting Phyllis stay with him like that. He told Sharon after he thought she was dead that he would never hurt her again and she would come first in his life. Then he does this.

Victoria...what can I say.I really can't stand this girl. She is such a whiny liitle hypocrite! She is still bitching about Brad having an affair when she has had more than one night with JT. She is supposed to be giving her marriage a chance and she is spending all her free time with him. I know Brad is no better. What bothers me is her holier-than-thou attitude. She will never admit that she did anything wrong. On a superficial note, the actress who plays Victoria has the worst teeth in daytime. I hate that writers feel like they have to put characters together because the actors who portray them are together in real life. I don't even think they have that much chemistry together. And wasn't he obsessed with Colleen like two months ago? He was practically stalking her. Now he's in love with Victoria freakin' Newman? Makes no sense.

Nikki is no better. Spoilers says he has an affair with David. Victor has been gone for a week! She doesn't hear from him so she hops in bed with David? Yeah, that's reasonable.

Kevin, Michael and Lauren don't have much going on. That is supposed to change as Kevin is suppposed to have a Jana storyline coming up, and I just read a spoiler that said Lauren and Michael are going to have problems. I don't like that one bit. I love them together. They are a cute couple and they have a little baby together. I hope they don't break them up.

They had Cane make that mysterious phone call and nothing after that. Did they forget they had sweet Cane turn into evil Cane that day?I wonder what he is up to and who he is working with. I also wonder if he is really Jill's son. It's easy to fake DNA tests afterall, just ask Gloria. Cane is insanely hot by the way.

Sharon - I love her. I am totally biased and will admit it. I love the Sharon character and I love Sharon Chase. She is gorgeous, such a great actor, she has great clothes...okay, I am gushing so I will stop. Today she basically told Phyllis to back off of Jack. That was probably a mistake because Phyllis is the kind of person who wants Jack more if she thinks that someone wants her to stay away. What is it with her going after Sharon's husbands? Is she weirdly obsessed with her or what?

Adrian and Colleen - *yawn*

Katherine is a real badass isn't she? She doesn't put up with crap from anyone. She's awesome. I find Jill and Ji Min boring.

I'm looking forward to this summer's shows. The spoilers I have read on TVMegaSite's forum's look interesting.

Y&R/Days thoughts.

Joshua Morrow (Nick) has signed a new 5-year deal. I'm extremely happy about that. I like Josh and the character of Nick, even though he has come across as a bit whipped lately. Hopefully with the news that Phyllis knew of Sharon and Brad's affair and the blackmail, he will show a bit of a spine where she is concerned.

"I'm happy to know where I'm going to be for the next five years," says Morrow. "For me, it's all about staying home with my family. I love being able to take my kids to school and pick them up most days."

This was a good week on Y&R. Daniel has developed an addiction to porn and is spending his time surfing sites, chatting with other women and flirting with Amber. Lily is on to him though, she's found naughty pictures in his cell phone, porn pop-ups on his computer and just found out he has a secret email address. He's been able to explain away the pop-ups and pictures but Lily isn't buying his excuses anymore. Next week he will have to answer for this, and I hope he admits the truth and doesn't use some lame excuse that Lily just blindly believes.

Of course, Sharon almost died but she is recovering now. Dru is missing and presumed dead. I think that her body won't be found, therefore leaving the door open for Victoria Rowell to return in the future if she wants, or a recast for the character if that's how the show decides to go.

Not too many scenes with Cane, Jill and Katherine but there were a few developments. The DA decided he didn't want to charge Katherine for the kidnapping because of Cane's words. Cane has decided to forgive Katherine but Jill isn't ready.

Michael, Lauren, Nick and Phyllis are starting to reconcile. I'm happy about that because I really like the interaction between the four of them. I hope Michael has a bigger storyline coming up, he's one of my favorites.

There were also a few scenes with the rarely seen Noah. He's a cute kid and his scenes were enjoyable. I'm sure after next week he'll go back to sleepovers at his friend's houses every other day and we won't see him again until they need to bring him out as a plot device.

All in all I am enjoying the show and am looking forward to the upcoming months.

Days of Our Lives
I watched Days this week but I missed bits and pieces. As far as I can tell nothing of major signifigance happened, at least nothing I am interested in.

I am not into the Patch/Kayla storyline. I liked them when they were on the show previously but this whole "Steve in the mental hospital" storyline is doing nothing for me.

Belle, Shawn and Claire are still on the run and Philip is still somehow able to track them no matter where they end up. This guy needs to go work for the FBI because he can track a fugitive like no one else I've ever seen. He's almost like an evil Jack Bauer. If only he would use his powers for good instead of evil....

Abby + Max = EWWWWWW! But Jack was back briefly, which was cool. I wish he and Jen were back full time. Matthew Ashford ROCKS and was always one of my favorites.

Kate is still not liking Sami and still doesn't think she is good enough for her son. Lucas is still blind to the fact that something is going on with Sami and EJ and buys everything she says. Don't get me wrong, I love Sami, she is probably my favorite character on the soaps. I am hoping she gets her wedding but I won't hold my breath. The fact that they are involving TheKnot.com does bode well but this is Sami and weddings have never worked out well for that poor girl. She has also been plotting with Celeste to kill EJ so she and Lucas can get married, have their baby and live happily ever after. Unfortunately, EJ is a Dimera so I doubt their little plan will work. Plus her baby is most likely a Dimera too.

Something I wanted to bring up is that Sami doesn't have much of a family to speak of. Her mother didn't even attend her wedding shower. I am not surprised that she turned out to be a troubled girl and think she's doing remarkably well considering her absentee parents.

Willow is still a filthy skank.

Chelsea convinced Nick to steal the evidence - her hairbrush - from the fire at Bo and Hope's. You know that is going to come back and bite him in the ass. What makes me laugh is that Nick is considered to be a "good guy" right? He made up a fake online identity and led Chelsea, the woman he supposedly loves, on for months and months. He messed with her head and her heart, all in the name of love. He gave Sami a blank test sheet so she could lie to EJ. Then he stole/tampered with evidence in an arson investigation. Oh yeah, he also slept with the mother of the woman he loves and aided two fugitives in fleeing the country. Only on the soaps would a guy who does all of that be considered a good guy.
